Community Concerts

Community Concerts are a vital part of SLLMF. Youth concerts, “Discovery” concerts for listeners of all ages, and repeat performances of series concerts at venues around the state, allow SLLMF to share live music with a wide audience. Unfortunately due to the ongoing COVID-19 restrictions, we will be unable to hold these concerts this season.

The Deertrees concerts are recorded, and regular broadcasts on Maine Public Radio further expand listening opportunities.

What we hear ...

"It's beautiful, uplifting music performed in a timber-frame opera house. No formal attire, no stuffiness to it. It's so characteristically summer in Maine."
Lee Bearse
Trustee
"Each summer, our family relishes another year of superb chamber music at Deertrees in Harrison, Maine. Since 1974, the Sebago-Long Lake Music Festival has been a treasured annual element of our summers. Since 1993 when Deertrees Theatre became the festival’s venue, it is the rich combination of the setting in the pavilion beneath the stately Maine pines, the enthusiastic audience of chamber music supporters, the adventurous programming, the talented corps of musicians who create such exquisite listening experiences, and the immediacy and intimacy of live music that keeps us coming back."
Carroll & Christopher Wilkinson
Morgantown, WV & Norway, ME
"This Festival has been called “a hidden jewel in the woods of Maine”. Our musicians, whether at Deertrees Theatre, the LOOK kids program, or a local church, perform with precision, zest and joy which are infectious. Over the next few years, I would like us to become “a sparkling jewel” easily visible to local people, tourists and music lovers far beyond."
